Careers

Build the tax engine Europe will run on.

We are a small team in Finland with a live product, real customers, and the EU’s 2030 clock already ticking. Two seats are open.

Open roles

Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Founding Engineer)

Baslic, Fidanet Solution Oy · Espoo / Finland · Full-time

About Baslic

We’re building the auditable, cross-border AI tax-compliance engine for European businesses, starting with the Nordics. Live product, real customers, and a hard deadline on our side: the EU’s ViDA regime makes cross-border digital tax reporting mandatory by 2030. We are two founders and a CFO, looking for our founding engineer.

What you’ll do

Own the technical backbone of our compliance engine: structured e-invoicing (EN 16931), near-real-time digital reporting, cross-border VAT determination, PSD2 bank-transaction matching, and government API integrations (Vero and beyond). You’ll ship, not spectate.

You’ll thrive here if you

  • Have strong full-stack experience with TypeScript / Next.js / PostgreSQL
  • Love integration-heavy backend work, APIs, structured data (XML/JSON), third-party and government systems
  • Are self-directed and comfortable owning a domain in a small team
  • Care about precision, in tax, a wrong number is a legal issue, not a bug

Bonus points

  • AI/LLM integration experience (RAG, grounding, evaluation)
  • Fintech / regtech / accounting domain familiarity
  • GDPR / financial-data security awareness

What we offer

A founding-engineer seat with real ownership (equity/ESOP), a live product with users from day one, and a category-defining problem on an EU-wide clock. Based in Finland.

Sales Lead (our first sales hire)

Baslic, Fidanet Solution Oy · Espoo / Finland · Full-time

About the seat

You will be the company’s first sales hire. Until now every customer was won by the founders, and after you that is your job. Two products, two motions: Baslic is sold to a business owner and to the accounting firm that keeps their books, Fizzy to the person behind the register. You inherit a live product and the customers already paying for it. The territory, the tempo and the playbook are yours to build.

What you’ll do

Three things, in the order they matter.

  1. 01

Open the door to accounting firms. The accountant plan costs nothing and is fully featured, and when a firm adopts Baslic its client businesses follow. This is the motion that compounds.

  2. 02

Sell Baslic directly to the businesses that need it now: restaurants, contractors, expat founders, anybody whose receipts still reach their accountant in a carrier bag.

  3. 03

Build your own pipeline and keep it honest. There is no manager above you to polish a forecast, and your numbers go straight into how we plan the company.

You’ll thrive here if you

  • Have sold to small businesses and know the owner decides, usually after the shutters come down
  • Have working proficiency in Finnish. Our customers live their day in Finnish, and so does the Tax Administration
  • Are comfortable in the field. Most of your week happens across somebody’s table, not at a desk
  • Can hold a straight conversation about a number, because in tax an overstatement is a liability rather than a sales tactic

Bonus points

  • A background in selling accounting, payroll or point of sale software
  • An existing network among Finnish accounting firms
  • Enough of the domain to answer a VAT question without calling for help

What we offer

Base salary plus uncapped commission, calibrated together during your first quarter. The real upside of being first: whoever writes the playbook leads the team once there is one. Direct work with the founders, with no layers in between. Based in Finland.
