Built in Espoo. For Nordic businesses who'd rather build their own.
Baslic is a small, hands-on team based in Espoo, Finland. We're building the receipt and invoice platform we couldn't find for ourselves — and shipping it to the SMBs, freelancers, and accountants we know personally.

It started with a forgotten receipt.
Baslic started the unglamorous way: I kept delivering documents late to my own accountant, and losing receipts in the process. Every quarter the same panic, the same emails, the same apologies.
One morning I was having coffee with a café-owner friend. Mid-sip, he froze and said, “What’s today’s date — oh no, I forgot to send the receipts to my accountant again.”
That moment is the entire reason this product exists. The pain was mine, his, and pretty much every small-business owner I knew.
So Baslic stays simple on purpose. Our job is to make sure an operation this simple doesn't have to feel this hard — for restaurant owners, freelancers, SaaS founders, and the accountants who keep their books.
Four principles. Everything else is opinion.
Audit-safe by default
Every classification carries a ruleId. Re-run any decision a year later and get the same answer. Your auditor never has to ask 'where does this number come from?'
EU-only data
Servers live in Germany. Your data never leaves the EU under any circumstance — no US sub-processors, no overseas backups, GDPR by design.
Deterministic AI
Temperature = 0. Baslic doesn't 'make a creative guess' about your VAT split. It applies a rule, cites it, and shows the work.
Multilingual on day one
Timo speaks 30+ languages and answers in whichever one you wrote in — with Finnish tax rules baked in regardless of the question's language.
Fidanet Solution Oy.
Baslic is a product of Fidanet Solution Oy — a Finnish company registered in Espoo. We're bootstrapped, hands-on, and currently a small team. If that changes, we'll tell you here first.
